The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Quantity Surveyor, with a focus on HVAC systems, to join our client’s team in Dublin. In this role, you will manage the cost aspects of a range of residential and commercial HVAC projects, ensuring that each project is completed to the highest standards, on time, and within budget. You’ll be involved in all stages of the project, from initial estimates and tenders through to final account settlement.

Key Responsibilities:
Cost Management: Prepare and manage mechanical cost estimates, budgets, and forecasts specifically for HVAC systems in residential and commercial projects.
Tendering and Procurement: Lead the preparation of tender documents for HVAC works, evaluate contractor and supplier quotes, and ensure the selection of the best value solutions.
Contract Management: Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements, ensuring compliance with project specifications, budget, and deadlines.
Project Monitoring: Work closely with the project team to monitor cost performance and identify cost-saving opportunities, while ensuring HVAC installations meet the required specifications and standards.
Final Accounts: Manage the preparation and settlement of final accounts for HVAC elements of the project.
Client & Supplier Relationships: Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project delivery.
Compliance: Ensure all HVAC projects comply with safety regulations, quality standards, and relevant industry codes.
The Ideal Candidate:
A qualified Mechanical Quantity Surveyor with a focus on HVAC (experience with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems).
Proven experience working on residential and commercial HVAC projects.
Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, installations, and construction processes.
Experience in cost estimating, tendering, contract negotiation, and managing final accounts for HVAC work.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.
A proactive, detail-oriented approach to managing workload and solving issues.
Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite.
